The STRSQL command, which can be limited using Command Security, can be setup using the following procedure.

  1. On the PowerTech Command Security menu, select option 1, Work with Monitored Commands.
  2. On the Work with Monitored Commands panel, press F6, Create, to display the Select Commands panel. Locate the STRSQL command and enter a 1 to select it.
  3. With the STRSQL command on the Work with Monitored Commands panel, Enter an 8=Rules, next to the command. The Work with Rules panels displays, allowing you to start defining the conditions and actions for the command.
  4. Press F6, New Rule, to display the Work with Rule Conditions panel. Press F6, New Condition, to define a condition.
  5. On the Create Condition panel, enter the following values:
    1. Data Source: *USER
    2. Operator: EQUALTO
    3. Compare to: NUSER
  6. When you press Enter and return to the Work with Rule Conditions panel, the condition you entered appears on the panel. Now, press F11, Actions, to define the Actions for the Rule.
  7. On the Work with Rule Actions panel, press F6, New Action, to display the Create Action panel.
  8. On the Create Action panel, enter the following values:
    • Action: *REJECT
  9. Press Enter to save the action and return to the Work with Rule Actions panel.

When activated, the rule will prevent the user ‘NUSER’ from executing the command STRSQL.
